Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you book a free consultation or online sessions with Tim Dunton through onlinehypnotherapy.uk. Tim is a sole trader trading as Online Hypnotherapy. Please read these terms before booking. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights.

1. About the service

Tim offers one-to-one hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching sessions online by video call, using Microsoft Teams or Zoom, to clients in the UK and abroad. Every session is with Tim personally.

2. Free consultation

Before booking, you can have a free consultation of 15 to 30 minutes by phone or video. There is no obligation to book. Tim will tell you honestly if he does not think hypnotherapy, or online sessions, are right for you.

3. Booking and appointments

4. Online sessions

5. Cancelling or rearranging

Tim keeps your appointment time free for you and cannot usually offer it to someone else at short notice. If you need to cancel or move an appointment, please give at least 24 hours' notice by phone on 07923 495558 or by email.

Tim will always try to be fair and understanding about genuine emergencies and illness.

Your right to cancel

Because you book remotely, you have the legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking without giving a reason, and receive a refund. If you ask for a session to take place within those 14 days and then cancel, you may be asked to pay for any sessions already provided.

6. Fees and payment

7. The halve-fees promise

We are not allowed to make guarantees, but Tim is very confident that you will make significant progress within 7 hours of hypnotherapy (usually five sessions). If for any reason, further sessions are required or desired for the same issue, fees will be reduced to £97.50/hour (ongoing). The reduced fee applies to sessions for the same issue after your first 7 hours.

8. Recordings and materials

9. What to expect

Hypnotherapy works with you, and your own commitment plays an important part. Everyone responds differently, so no particular outcome can be promised, and the number of sessions you need will depend on you. Tim will always discuss your progress openly with you.

10. Confidentiality and privacy

What you share in sessions is confidential. The only exceptions are where there is a serious risk of harm to you or others, where a child or vulnerable adult may be at risk, or where the law requires disclosure. Wherever possible, Tim would talk to you first. Please see the privacy policy for how your information is handled, including by Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

11. Clients under 18

Clients under 18 are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian, who gives written consent and stays in the home during sessions.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of the service, please tell Tim as soon as possible on 07923 495558. He will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it fairly. If you are still not satisfied, you can raise it with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), of which Tim is a member.

13. General

These terms may be updated from time to time; the version that applies is the one in place when you book. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, wherever you are when you take part in sessions.
